Mercersburg 3-4, Hill 2-5

POTTSTOWN, N.J. - Mercersburg Academy won the Mid Atlantic Prep League game but lost the non-conference game in a doubleheader Saturday against The Hill School.

Jason Thomas struck out 12 while Alex Laddbush hit a two-run homer in the sixth for Mercersburg (4-4, 1-1). Laddbush recoreded the save in the first game but was saddled with the loss in the second game. David Cline had three hits, including two doubles, and three RBI in the second game.

Shane Williams, Hagerstown, had a hole-in-one at Yingling's Golf Center on the second hole. He used a sand wedge for the 85-yard ace. Drew Pensis and Tracy Leather witnessed.

Dave Grier aced 78-yard, fifth hole using a sand wedge. Williams and Steve Carron witnessed.


Halfway Little League

Hoffman Auto 18, Redmen 3: John Houser had three hits and Andrew Duff and Zach Malphurs had two hits each to lead Hoffman Auto.

South County Little League

Boonsboro Pharmacy 15, Boonsboro Gas Mart 2: Matt Piston drove in three runs to lead Boonsboro Pharmacy. Dylan Hamilton, Justin Elsworth and pitcher Zack Shiffler had two RBI. Shiffler struck out five.

Conococheague Junior League

Post 202 10, Homewood 9: Adam Twigg's RBI double completed a five-run seventh inning to allow Post 202 to claim a come-from-behind victory. Cody Grove homered and added a three-run double while Justin Morales added two hits for Post 202. Tyler Spigler, Zach Meyers and Eric Imes had two hits each for Homewood.
