Teenage girls charged in Frederick stabbing

FREDERICK, Md. - Two teenage girls were charged Friday in connection with a stabbing in Wendy's restaurant parking lot Wednesday, the Frederick Police Department said.

Police said a 16-year-old girl was charged with second-degree assault and a 15-year-old was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a deadly weapon with intent to injure.

The 16-year-old was released to the custody of her parents and the 15-year-old was awaiting a bond hearing Friday afternoon, police said.

Police alleged the 16-year-old hit the victim in the face and the 15-year-old stabbed the victim.
