Police ask for help in solving an estate auction theft

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Two men using false names, driver's licenses and addresses attended an estate auction on Saturday and stole about $2,000 worth of antiques, police said.

Two men used false names and addresses as identifications at the Lucy Boward home auction in Hedgesville, W.Va., Lt. K.C. Bohrer with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department said.

He said the men bid on antiques such as a railroad watch, butchering tools, a B&O railroad lantern, antiques stirrers and kettles and a Cub Cadet riding lawn mower.

They took the items without paying for them, Bohrer said.
