Bloodmobile drive

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Sponsored by Shepherd College's Phi Epsilon Kappa physical education, health and recreation fraternity, Wednesday, April 10, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Storer Ballroom of Shepherd College Center. Homemakers Scholarship fundraiser

MAUGANSVILLE - Sponsored by Washington County Homemakers, Thursday, April 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Maugansville Community Building. Homemade pies, breads, cookies and candy will be sold and there will be a craft table and all-day flea market. A lunch of homemade soups, sandwiches and pies will be served. Proceeds will be used for continuing education for eligible students.

Spring auction and dinner/dance

Country butchering and pancake breakfast

Saturday, April 13, beginning at 6:30 a.m., Wilson Ruritan Club, 1/4 mile west of Huyetts Crossroads on U.S. 40,

Hagerstown. Menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes with one serving of sausage or puddin', coffee and orange juice. Cost is $3, adults. This will be the last butchering and pancake breakfast of the season. The next breakfast will be in September; the next butchering in October. Proceeds benefit community projects.

Maugansville Ruritan Club pancake breakfast

MAUGANSVILLE - Saturday, April 13, 6:30 to 10:30 a.m., Ruritan Community Building. Menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, and one serving sausage, orange juice, milk or coffee. Cost is $3, adults; $2.50, senior citizens; and $2, ages 6 to 11. Proceeds benefit the local Boy Scout troop.

Soup and pot pie sale

Mason-Dixon Quilt Show 2002

FUNKSTOWN - Sponsored by Hagers-town Children's School, Saturday, April 13, doors open at 11:30 a.m., bingo starts at 1 p.m., Funkstown Fire Hall. Tickets are $15 for 30 games with filled baskets as prizes. There will be raffles, door prizes, tip jars and food concessions. No more than 200 tickets will be sold.
