Diana M. Trent


Diana Marie Trent, 46, of 12324 Delwood Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, April 5, 2002, at her home.

Born Nov. 13, 1955, in Olney, Md., she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Gertrude Judymae Hungate Trent.

She had been employed by McDonald's Restaurants at Valley Plaza and Sharpsburg Pike in Hagerstown.

She is survived by a daughter, Jaclyn N. Corcoran of Hagerstown; two sons, Jason G. Clark and Franklin C. Clark, both of Hagerstown; two sisters, Betty J. Mathis of Williamsport and Barbara A. Boone of Hagerstown; four brothers, William N. Trent Sr. of Hagerstown, John L. Trent of Rogersville, Tenn., Clarence H. Trent of Williamsport and Herbert W. Trent Sr. of Point of Rocks, Md.; nieces; nephews; and her caregiver, Diana Spring.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. Pastor Tim Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Reveira B. Shapiro


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Reveira Bloom Shapiro, 88, of Chambersburg died Friday, April 5, 2002, at her home.

Born Dec. 27, 1913, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Cecile Gaffin Bloom.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles J. Shapiro, in 1995.

She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School and Wilson College in Chambersburg.

She was a member of Congregation Sons of Israel and Daughters of Israel in Chambersburg.

She was a member of the Chambersburg Hospital Auxiliary, the American Red Cross and the American Association of University Women.

She is survived by a daughter, Arlene Wiseth of Silver Spring, Md.; a son, Ethan Shapiro of Westport, Conn.; a brother, D. Dudley Bloom of Marian Station, Pa.; two grandsons; and her close friend and caregiver, Veronica Scott of Chambersburg.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg. Rabbi Rena Blumenthal will officiate. Burial will follow in Sons of Israel Cemetery, Chambersburg.

There will be no viewing.

For religious reasons, the family requests the omission of flowers.

Chesney C. Poole and Gracie A. Poole


HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Chesney Cheyenne Poole and Gracie Ann Poole, infant daughters of John A. Poole and Gwen M. Litten of Hedgesville, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

They were born April 4, 2002, in Martinsburg, W.Va.

In addition to their parents, they are survived by grandparents Larry and Lou Ann Litten of Hedgesville, Cheryl P. Poole of Hagerstown, Roy L. Poole and Sandy Hatfield and great-grandparents Raymond and Dorothy Litten and John L. And Betty Poole, all of Hedgesville.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Providence Church, Hedgesville. Pastor Gene Gossett will officiate. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.




Blanche F. Dennison


MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Blanche Frances Dennison, 74, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.

Born Feb. 2, 1928, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Pearl Bessie Detter Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wade Dennison.

She attended Independent Bible Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Albright of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Peggy Morris, Judy Adams and Barbara Crawford, all of Martinsburg; a brother, Marshall Edwards; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Adams, and three brothers, Cecil Edwards, Curtis Edwards and Roy Edwards.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Independent Bible Church. The Rev. Curtis T. Lowry will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Ronald R. Van Dyke


CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Ronald Ray Van Dyke, 52, of Summit Point Road, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at his home.

Born Sept. 8, 1949, in Tulsa, Okla., he was the son of Lucille Hicks Forsyth of Ardmore, Okla., and the late Daniel A. Van Dyke.

He was a retired truck driver.

He attended St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Jean E. Benjamin Van Dyke, and a sister, Joan Thompson of Ardmore.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald L. Van Dyke.
