Howell wins Excellence Award

Bradley C. Howell of Country Home Lane in Boonsboro recently received an Academic Excellence Award to attend Frostburg State University.

Howell, a senior at South Hagerstown High School, plans to major in computer science and minor in mathematics at Frostburg State.

An honor roll student, he is a member of the National Honor Society and recently received an Award of Excellence from the Washington County Board of Education.

He serves as president of the Future Business Leaders of America chapter and has competed in the organization's word-processing competitions at the county, state and national levels.

Howell is a member of the school band, all-county band and brass ensemble and is the French horn section leader. He also plays flgelhorn and trumpet.

His athletic activities include track and field, shot put and discus throwing.

He is the son of Donald J. and Laura L. Howell.
