Mail Call 4/2

"I saw in the paper where they interviewed eight people and asked them what they thought about 'granny cams' being put in nursing homes. All eight agreed that they should be put in there. I think if you ask 500 people, you would get 500 'yeses.' There is only one type of person that would say no to them and that is the guilty, abusive and the mistrusted. If you work in a nursing home, you should be proud of your work. I worked in a nursing home and I saw things go on that were unspeakable. I couldn't get anybody to do anything about it. Those things were swept under the rug because they didn't want people to know that those things go on in their establishment. Put the 'granny cams' in, it will not only save the elderly from being abused, but it will also stop the ones that aren't doing anything from being misaccused."

"I have a pet peeve. Mothers, please do not leave your disposable diapers lying about. I am so tired of driving up to a store and on the parking lot lies a diaper. Also, when you go to someone's home and you diaper a baby, take your disposable back home with you."

"I want the 10-year-old girl from Old Forge School to know she is appreciated for her desire to raise money for bulletproof vests for police dogs to keep them safe. Emily, God bless you for this. These dogs have a special place in my heart. I will be sending my donation to you, as I hope many others will. Good luck to you and may God bless our policemen as they protect us. Thanks for doing a great job."

"To the person answering the comment about bingo: Whether the children want to do drugs or rob liquor stores or whatever. Gambling for money is illegal for children."

"Gambling for minors is illegal, instead of playing bingo, doing drugs or robbing someone, please parents, take your child to church."

"To the people who are talking about the parking on Mitchell Avenue. There is a family with three vehicles, but we only have two. We have off-street parking and we use it, but we pay more taxes than anyone else on Mitchell Avenue. So therefore we can park anywhere we please!"
