CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Chambersburg Police have charged a 17-year-old female with retail theft from a local store.

Police arrested the juvenile Tuesday night in connection with a theft of more than $2,000 worth of items taken over six months from Ames in the Southgate Mall, police said.

SCOTLAND, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police arrested four people in connection with the robbery of a Greene Township gas station Wednesday morning.

Police charged Rick C. Stewart, 22, of Carlisle, Pa.; Orville C. Hardy, 19, of Newville, Pa.; Shannon E. Hardy, 22, of Boiling Springs, Pa.; and Tristan L. Spidle, 19, of Carlisle, with one count each of robbery and criminal conspiracy to commit robbery.


All four were arraigned by District Justice Larry Meminger. They were in Franklin County Prison Thursday in lieu of $25,000 bail, according to police and a corrections officer.

Police charged the four after stopping a vehicle driven by Shannon Hardy shortly after the robbery, police said.

Police say two people entered the Sunoco station, 3448 Black Gap Road, around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday with bandanas covering their faces and demanded money from the cashier. Two other people picked them up after the robbery, police said.

Police said only a small amount of cash was taken.

No one was injured and no gun was displayed during the robbery, police said.
