A domestic dispute at 220 N. Potomac St. just before 11 p.m. Sunday sent two women to the hospital with stab wounds, Hagerstown City Police said. A third female stabbing victim reportedly refused medical aid.

Police had a female suspect in custody shortly after arriving at the residence but information was sketchy surrounding the reasons for the incident.

One woman received stab wounds to the back, rib cage and elbow while another was reportedly stabbed in the abdomen, police said.

The victims were found in a hallway, police said.

Community Rescue Service personnel responded with two ambulances to the scene. One victim taken to Washington County Hospital was reportedly classified a trauma patient while the other had less serious injuries, police said.
