Bellon lifts HCC to first win-Sunday roundup

North Hagerstown High graduate, Matt Bellon, struck out 12 and allowed three runs on three hits as Hagerstown Community College won its first game of the season, beating the rain and Penn State-Wilkes Barre 9-1 Sunday. Joe Helisek had two hits and two RBI, Trey Cobb had two hits and one RBI and Justin Werner had two RBI for HCC (1-4). The second game was rained out.

WALDORF, Md. - Andria Cook hit a two-run single in the Hawks' five-run second inning and pitched eight gutsy innings, but an error and a double in the eighth lifted Rockville over HCC in the first round of the College of Southern Maryland Tournament. Dana Kline and Robin Curley had two hits for HCC (2-2).
