Steven and Debra Kesecker of Hedgesville, W.Va. announce the engagement of their daughter Kathryn YVonne Kesecker to Brian James Wallace, son of Boyce and Carolyn Wallace of Rockville, Md.

Ms. Kesecker is a graduate of Hedgesville High School and attended Shepherd College. She is employed by Mid-Atlantic Medical Services Inc. of Frederick, Md.

Mr. Wallace is a graduate of Wheaton High School. He is employed by Barron's Enterprises of Gaithersburg, Md.

A June 2003 wedding is planned.


Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Reid of Myersville, Md. wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mariah Michelle Reid, to Timothy Eildert Kingma, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aeger Kingma of Torrumbarry, Australia.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of St. James School and is attending University of Melbourne in Australia.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of St. Joseph's College in Echuca, Australia and a 2001 graduate of University of Melbourne with a bachelor's degree in agricultural science. He is employed by Kingma Management Services in Gunbower, Australia, as an agricultural consultant.

Mr. and Mrs. David A. Zittle of Hagerstown wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jaime Lynn Zittle, to Robert Joseph Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick V. Allen of Fredericktown, Ohio.

Ms. Zittle attended South Hagerstown High School and is enrolled in classes at Coastal Carolina Community College. She is employed by Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar in Jacksonville, N.C.

Mr. Allen graduated from high school in Fredericktown. He is a private first class in the United States Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

They live in Jacksonville.

David and Wendy Gardner of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Kerry Rebecca Gardner, to M. Daniel Bratcher, son of Martin and Patricia Bratcher of Greensburg, Pa., and formerly of Hagerstown.

Ms. Gardner is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and Radford University. She is employed as a registered nurse in pediatrics at INOVA Fairfax Hospital for Children in Fairfax, Va.

Mr. Bratcher is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and Clemson University. He is employed as a network engineer with Micro-Serv Corp. in Alexandria, Va.

An Aug. 31 wedding is planned.


Christine Marie Angeski and Charles Bryan Streaker Jr. wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Angeski is the daughter of Joseph P. Angeski Jr. of Pitcairn, Pa. She is a 1992 graduate of Gateway Senior High School and a 1996 graduate of Carlow College with a bachelor's degree in biology. She is employed as a clinical research associate at MDA PharmaServices.

Mr. Streaker is the son of Charles Bryan Streaker Sr. and Dorothy Grove Streaker of Mount Airy, Md. He is a 1991 graduate of South Carroll High School, a 1995 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a bachelor's degree in food science, and a 1999 graduate of Ohio State University with a master's degree in food science. He is employed as a food technologist in research and development at H.J. Heinz Co.

An Oct. 5 wedding in Pittsburgh is planned.


Karen S. Crider and Marc C. Buckley wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Crider is the daughter of Edwin L. and Barbara J. Crider of Hagerstown. She is a 1987 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. She is employed by Oral and Facial Surgery.

Mr. Buckley is the son of James A. and Winona C. Buckley of Falling Waters, W.Va. He is a 1989 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He is employed by Maugansville Auto Center.

Natasha J. Ray and Jesse W. Carmack announce their engagement.

Ms. Ray is the daughter of Donald and Teresa Ray of Waynesboro, Pa. She is a 2001 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School and is a student at Wilson College, majoring in psychology.

Mr. Carmack is the son of John and Jodi Carmack of Greencastle, Pa. He is a 2001 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School. He is serving in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyo.

A spring wedding is planned.


Kendra Nichole Seger and Bart Markel Ruppenthal announce their engagement.

Miss Seger is the daughter of Annie Seger of Hancock and Kevin Grimm of Clear Spring. She is a graduate of Hancock High School and expects to receive a degree in occupational therapy in December.

Mr. Ruppenthal is the son of Buck and Rosalie Ruppenthal of Hancock. He is a graduate of Clear Spring High School and Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy. He is employed by Frederick County Sheriff's Office in Maryland.

A Sept. 14 wedding is planned.


Mr. and Mrs. Harold Charles Vogel Jr. of Bricktown, N.J., announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Helen Vogel of Frostburg, Md., to Andrew Patrick Fulghum of Frostburg, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Peter C. Fulghum of Smithsburg.

Ms. Vogel is an area representative for RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. and is a columnist for The Herald-Mail Co.

Mr. Fulghum is city administrator for the city of Frostburg.
