The Fishacks

A double celebration honoring Robert L. Fishack on his 76th birthday and Mr. and Mrs. Fishack on their 54th wedding anniversary was held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Eastview Community Center in Frederick, Md. The festivities were hosted by their daughter, Deanna Clabaugh of The Woodlands, Texas. Entertainment was provided by the barbershop quartet, "Friends R Four."

The Fishacks were married Nov. 7, 1947 at Smithsburg Lutheran Church parsonage by the Rev. Francis Bell.

Mrs. Fishack is the former Carolyn Y. Brandenburg of Foxville. She retired from Fairchild Industries in Chantilly, Va.

Mr. Fishack is retired from Fairchild Space and Electronics Co., in Germantown, Md.

They have two grandchildren.

The Fishacks live in Frederick, Md.

The Myerses

The Rev. and Mrs. Herbert F. Myers of Martinsburg, W.Va., were honored on their 60th wedding anniversary, Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at a luncheon at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Hagerstown.

They were married Nov. 1, 1941, by the Rev. Samuel Kipe.


Mrs. Myers is the former Frances Ida Lohman, daughter of the late Samuel H. and Ruth I. Lohman of Sharpsburg. She is retired.

The Rev. Myers is the son of the late Rev. John F. and Alverta Myers of Dargan. He retired from the ministry in 1988 after 40 years of service with The First Church of God.

They have four daughters and spouses: twins Ruth A. Statler and Naomi M. and Harry Younger, all of Martinsburg; Diane M. and Shane French of Hagerstown; and Kay E. Pepa of Camp Hill, Pa.; also one son and spouse, Carl F. and Elena Myers of Hughesville, Pa.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
