Crime solvers for 2/18

A rash of vandalism to windows aimed at cars, homes and businesses has been plaguing North Enders since Christmas Eve and Maryland State Police are seeking the help of Crime Solvers and the community in making arrests.

In each case, an unknown projectile fired from a pellet gun or a slingshot did the damage, police said.

The vehicles that were targeted have been parked in driveways along Pennsylvania and Maugans avenues, police said.

The businesses included Hagerstown Trust Co., Spicher's Appliances and Kerch's Restaurant. A number of homes were also hit.

Citizens should listen for car noises late at night and then try to get license tag information, calling police immediately.

All leads in this case have been exhausted and Crime Solvers is seeking the help of the community.

If anyone knows the person or persons responsible for the crime, Crime Solvers wants to hear about it.

Call Crime Solvers at 1-301-733-4141. Phone lines are open 24 hours a day.

Callers need not give their names, only the information. If the information leads to the arrest and indictment of the persons responsible for the Crime of the Week, a reward of up to $1,000 will be paid.

Cash rewards of $100 to $1,000 are also given for information leading to arrests on other crimes.
