UNION BRIDGE, Md. - Kevin Rideout scored all 13 of his points in the third quarter as No. 4 South Hagerstown used a second-half explosion to bounce back from its first loss of the season and demolish Francis Scott Key 98-71 on Tuesday night.

David Miner scored 36 points and added 11 rebounds for South (18-1, 15-1 Monocacy Valley Athletic League), while Domonique Richmond threw in a triple-double with 24 points, 11 rebounds and 14 assists.

South led by six at the break, but opened the third quarter with a 9-0 run to begin the rout and start putting away memories of Friday night's loss to city rival North Hagerstown.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Terence Williams scored 24 points, including six 3-pointers, as Central Dauphin East beat Chambersburg in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game.

Williams scored 11 of his points in the second quarter when CD East outscored the Trojans, 23-10.

Nate Wingerd, Danley Shank and James Sheep each had eight points for the Trojans (17-7, 3-5), who play Central York in the District 3-AAAA playoffs at New Oxford next Wednesday at 8 p.m.

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Willie Brandenburg sank a pair of free throws in the final seconds of overtime as Middletown locked up an MVAL win over Brunswick.

Jon Keimig had a chance to win the game for the Knights (13-7, 11-5) at the end of regulation, but his 8-footer rimmed out with 10 seconds left.

Pete Colwell had 22 points, Brandenburg and Jack O'Leary each had 15 and Keimig had 13. Keimig also had 10 assists and Brooks Moser had 13 rebounds.

Matt Maught had 24 points, Brandon Dykes had 16 and Larry Brown had 15 for the Railroaders (11-9, 10-7).
