12 groups applied for funding
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A dozen Franklin County groups applied for funding through the 2002 Community Development Block Grant program, including:

HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> St. Thomas Township Fire & Rescue, $125,000 for elevator installation.
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> St. Thomas Municipal Authority, $65,100 for sewer system tap fee and hook-up subsidy.
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Financial Counseling, $43,000 for the Total Person Transitional Housing Program.
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Quincy Township, $60,000 for road improvements.
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Waynesboro New Hope Shelter, $5,400 for first floor building renovations.
