Shawn M. Watkins


MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Shawn Michael Watkins, 19, of Forbes Trail Road, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in Fulton County, Pa.

Born Feb. 23, 1982, in McConnellsburg, he was the son of Russell C. and Lenora Neuder Watkins.

He was a 2001 graduate of Forbes Road High School.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was employed by Interforest Inc., in Shade Gap, Pa., as a material handler. He formerly worked at Energy Production and Technology in McConnellsburg and at Gateway in Breezewood, Pa.

He was a member of the Handyman Organization of America.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Hayley Marie Watkins; his paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Clarence and Anna Watkins of Orbisonia, Pa.; maternal grandparents, Ephraim and Phyllis Neuder of Robertsdale, Pa.; and two sisters, Brandy Nichole Watkins and Jessica Lynn Watkins, both of McConnellsburg.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at M.R. Brown Funeral Home, in Hustontown, Pa. Pastor George Clippinger will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, in Cooks, Pa.

Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.




Robert T.F. Morganthall


WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Robert T.F. "Bob" Morganthall, 67, of Waynesboro, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, in his home.

Born May 18, 1934, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Robert Franklin and Zella V. Kauffman Morganthall.

He attended Waynesboro Area Senior High School.

He was an electrician at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pa., before his retirement in 1999, and had been employed by Waynesboro Knitting Mill earlier in his life.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro.

He was member of Waynesboro Fish and Game Association, South Chapter 2977 AARP or Waynesboro and national AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Joann C. Rotz Morganthall, whom he married June 24, 1961; and one daughter, Lisa M. Morganthall of Palmyra, Pa.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., in Waynesboro. The Rev. Sharon VanDam will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.




Beth M. Fogal


HUSTONTOWN, Pa. - Beth Marie Fogal, 20, of North Clear Ridge Road, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in Fulton County, Pa.

Born Sept. 23, 1981, in McConnellsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Sioux Hamilton Fogal of Hustontown and the late John C. Fogal Jr.

She was employed by BiLo Supermarket in McConnellsburg.

She was of the Presbyterian faith.

She was a council member of the Early Head Start Program of McConnellsburg.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her stepmother, Barbara Shatzer of Hustontown; paternal grandmother, Clara Fogal of Hustontown; a daughter, Hayley M. Watkins at home; a sister, Karen Fogal of Hustontown; a brother, Matthew Fogal of Hustontown; and three stepsisters, Veronica Shatzer, Jeremiah Shatzer and Pam Shatzer, all of Hustontown.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Upper Path Valley Cemetery, Dry Run. Pastor George Clippinger will officiate.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, Pa.

Aletha R. Hamilton


FORT LITTLETON, Pa. - Aletha Ruth Hamilton, 78, of Great Cove Road, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in Fulton County, Pa.

Born March 10, 1923, in Mount Union, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Calvin James and Susan E. Forrester Shore.

She was a homemaker.

She was a Protestant.

She is survived by two daughters, Sioux Fogal of Hustontown, Pa. and Cindy McNerlin of Mapleton, Pa.; three sons, Malcolm Hamilton of Hanover, Pa., Larry Hamilton of East Berlin, Pa., and Brian Hamilton of Greencastle, Pa.; one sister, Etta Cutshall of Three Springs, Pa.; one brother, Edwin Shore Sr. of Hustontown; 13 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m., in Upper Path Valley Cemetery, in Dry Run, Pa. Pastor George Clippinger will officiate.

Mary F. Moats


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary F. Moats, 86, of Manor Care Health Services and formerly of Little Cove Road, Mercersburg, Pa., died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at Manor Care.

Born Feb. 25, 1915, in Millstone, Md., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Florence Myers Younker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira M. Moats, in 1992.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Stone Bridge Church of the Brethren in Hancock.
