Crime solvers for 1/28

A burglary and theft of more than 20 weapons from a Maugansville home in November 2000 is the subject of this week's Crime Solvers case in Washington County.

Sometime between 12:30 and 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, someone entered a residence at 14216 Maugansville Road and removed the guns and the gun safe they were in, said Maryland State Police.

Stored in the garage, the guns belonged to the estate of the late Frank Keefer, police said.

It is believed more than one person was involved in the burglary and theft because of the weight and size of the gun safe and the guns.

The gun safe was recovered a short time later but all the guns had been removed.

All leads in this case have been exhausted and Crime Solvers is seeking the help of the community.

If anyone knows the person or persons responsible for the crime, Crime Solvers wants to hear about it.
