Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The Rev. David L. Deatrich will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mont Alto.

Edith C. Jamarik
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Edith C. Compton Jamarik, 83, of 163 Fairview Ave., and formerly of Hopewell, Va., died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at ManorCare Health Services, Chambersburg, Pa.
Born April 26, 1918, in Louisa County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ira Flemming and Oquilla Radcliffe Compton.
Her husband, George T. Jamarik, died Nov. 13, 1999. They were married April 10, 1936.
She was a 1936 graduate of Hopewell High School.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Hopewell. She attended Otterbein United Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro.
She is survived by one son, Carl C. Jamarik of Waynesboro; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. George T. Jamarik Jr.; and a brother, Paul Compton.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gould Funeral Home, Hopewell. Burial will be in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell.
The family will receive friends Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

James W. Youse
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - James W. Youse, 82, of 9287 Mercersburg Road, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.
Born April 10, 1919, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Walter J. and Laura Dorty Youse.
His first wife, Gladys P. Rockwell Youse, died June 17, 1965.
He owned and operated James W. Youse Auto Sales and Garage of Mercersburg for 50 years.
He was a member of Charlestown United Methodist Church of Cove Gap, Pa., where he had been a Sunday school teacher and board member.
He was past president of Two Top Ruritan Club of Mercersburg.
He is survived by his second wife, Verna Zeis Youse, whom he married Aug. 25, 1966; a daughter, Patricia Ann Orr of Mercersburg; a brother, Charles B. Youse of Needmore, Pa.; two grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Freda Davis.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg. The Rev. Phyllis J. Bard will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
Viewing will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ronald E. Leggett
BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT, Pa. - Ronald E. Leggett, 54, of 11888 Furnace Road, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, as the result of an automobile accident on Pa. 16, Waynesboro, Pa.
Born June 17, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Everett Edward and Eileen Stella Banner Leggett.
He attended schools in Toledo.
He was employed as supervisor of the maintenance and machine shop of Knorr Brake Corp., Westminster, Md., for 12 years.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Marie Allen Leggett, whom he married Aug. 16, 1968; two daughters, Kristy Hahn of North Carolina, and Kathy M. Leggett, at home; a son, Edward E. Leggett, at home; two sisters, Judy Hines of Toledo, and Joyce Schnell of Port Clinton, Ohio; a brother, Donald Leggett of Toledo; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Thursday at 8 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The Rev. Jay E. Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
There will be no public viewing.

Lola S. Jamison
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Lola S. Jamison, 91, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at Hillcrest Manor in Winchester, Va.
Born Oct. 10, 1910, in Frederick County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Mark and Lucy Willingham Armel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Jamison.
