Anniversary announcements for 1/20

The Daleys

Mr. and Mrs. Ellis F. and Betty J. (Robinson) Daley of Greencastle, Pa., were honored at a 50th wedding anniversary dinner Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Antrim House Restaurant in Greencastle. The event was hosted by their children, Charles F. Daley of Greencastle; Garry L. Daley of Hagerstown; and Lauren and Judith A. (Daley) Mentzer and Ellis E. Daley, all of Greencastle.

The following day, the Daleys were honored again at a surprise celebration at Greencastle American Legion attended by more than 100 friends and relatives.

The Daleys were married March 31, 1951, in Mercersburg, Pa., by Pastor Turner in his home.

Mrs. Daley is the daughter of the late Nelson and Pearl (Clary) Robinson. She retired from J.J. Schoenman, where she worked for more than 21 years.

Mr. Daley is the son of the late Charles and Edna (Dentler) Daley. He worked for Capital Bread Co. for 15 years, retired from Hagerstown Canteen Vending Service after 231/2 years of service, and was employed part-time by H.P.S. for six years.


The Daleys have five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The Stouffers

Dave and Ann Stouffer were honored for their 50th wedding anniversary at a family gathering at the home of their daughter and son-in-law in Smithsburg.

The Stouffers were married Aug. 18, 1951, at Hagerstown Bible Church by the Rev. Harry Gonso.

Mrs. Stouffer is the former Delores Ann Waters. She retired from J.C. Penney in Valley Mall after 17 years of service.

Mr. Stouffer retired from Miller & Smith in 1991.

The Stouffers have four children, Cindy Hammer of Elkton, Va., David L. Stouffer and Lisa Grout, both of Smithsburg, and Sue Yarrington of Virginia Beach, Va. They also have seven grandchildren.

The Sevilles

Mr. and Mrs. Fred R. Seville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Monday, Nov. 5, 2001, with family and friends at a dinner party at Calvary Temple Church in Williamsport. The event was attended by their children, Fred R. "Butch" Seville, Richard Wayne Seville, Cathy K. Brown, Jimmy E. Seville, Peggy L. Seville, and their families.

The Sevilles were married in 1951 at the home of the Rev. Snyder in Williamsport.

Mrs. Seville was employed by Maryland Ribbon from 1966 to 1973 and Burger King from 1987 to 1997.

Mr. Seville is a veteran of World War II. He was employed by the state road administration from 1950 to 1975.

The Sevilles have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The Hynsons

Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Hynson Jr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 28, 2001, with a country pig roast on the lawn at their home in Keedysville. One hundred six friends and family attended the event from as far south as Florida and as far west as Wisconsin and Ohio.

The Hynsons were honored especially by their three children and their families.
