Ask a silly question 1/16

Question: What kinds of clouds produce snow?

Answer: Flurries can be expected from altocumulus, altostratus, stratocumulus and stratus clouds, all of which are low in altitude.

The heaviest snowfalls result from nimbostratus clouds that are low and gray; and from cumulonimbus clouds, also known as thunderheads.
