Five arrests were made late Monday and early Tuesday in a reverse drug sting in the 300 block of Jonathan Street, Hagerstown City Police said.

Officers of the Street Crimes Unit worked with agents from the Washington County Narcotics Task Force between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Tuesday. Five people were charged with one count each of possession of fake cocaine, police said.

Police said the following were released on personal recognizance:

-- Michael Edward Slick, 32, of 10511 Bushwillow Way, Hagerstown.

-- Cheryl Lee Wisner, 34, of 13725 Pennsylvania Ave., Apt. 4, Hagerstown.

-- Peter Reynolds Nicklas, 28, of 531 N. Mulberry St., Hagerstown.

-- Tammie Lee McPherson, 34, of 15305 Clear Spring Road, Williamsport.

Cecil Campbell, 74, of 7 E. Washington St., was being held on $20,000 bond Tuesday evening, according to Washington County District Court records.

Washington County Sheriff's deputies investigated two residential break-ins Monday.

HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> At 5:45 p.m., a homeowner in the 20100 block of Leitersburg Pike reported someone had caused $150 damage to a home safe. Deputies said it appeared the intruder did not get into the safe.

A GE VCR was taken, deputies said.

HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> A television, VCR, stereo and jewelry were taken from 11000 block of Quail Ridge Circle, according to the homeowner who called deputies at 7:42 p.m. The loss was estimated at $2,000.
