Mail Call for 12/28

"On Friday morning, Dec. 21, I was at the Roy Rogers on Burhans Boulevard. When I went to pay for the order in the drive-through, the person in front of me already paid for it. I don't know who it was. I am assuming it was just a stranger being kind and I just wanted to say thank you."

"To the people who are calling in about the boiling eggs. Come on people, it's beginning to be the year 2002. Come up with something else besides this boring stuff."

"Boy, they sure named that movie right. They would take one God and ten generals for the state to get that money out of that farm that they are going to control."

"I would like to know if anyone has a Chadwicks of Boston clothing magazine. Call into Mail Call and leave the 800 number that is on the back of the catalog. I would like to get a catalog for myself."

"I live across from a sewer home on Mapleville Road. It stunk on Christmas and it really stunk on Dec. 26. It has been doing this for over a year now."

"I want to thank all the people who called in and responded to my request to know how to boil eggs without them cracking open. They all gave good advice and I am going to try each one to see which one works best for me."

"I want to thank Bishop William Parks and his good wife for being so good to the elderly people at Christmas time. They fixed our breakfast and we had lunch. They went out of their way just so we could have something for Christmas. I know they are God's chosen angels. We love them and wish them the best."

"I am wondering what the deal is over Tim Rowland's mug shot. His blue eyes just seem to penetrate. Is that what the problem with the face? But then if he had brown eyes they would stare a hole through you. This is the face that God has given him. It's a nice face, it's not a bad face, it's an average face. What more do you people want? I think he looks very nice. He is clean, he combs his hair nice, he smiles, he has all his teeth. What more do you want? He looks very nice. Leave the man alone. Have a great day, Tim, I think your picture looks very nice."

"Christmas is over, with all those gay thrills, with nothing to show for it now, but the bills. A good living and giving and laughter, but oh what a headache the next morning after. But never forget to look up above and thank God Almighty for his wonderful gift of love."

"I think it is time for the United States to pass a law that says that anyone, no matter if they are a U.S. citizen or a foreigner, who tries to commit a terrorist attack against the United States should be punished with death."

"Many years ago I lived in Alabama because my son was in the service down there and the prettiest Christmas we ever had was a tiny bit of snow that came down on Christmas Day."

"In response to the person who put the Mail Call in about missing the cat named Sonny from the Garden Spot area. I have seen that cat near my house and I called the number that was in the paper last week and I never heard back so I am assuming that you found him. If not, put another article in the paper and I will let you know if I have seen him."
