Ima R. Simpson


BUNKER HILL, W.Va. - Ima Ruth Simpson, 76, of Bunker Hill, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, in McAllen, Texas.

Born March 14, 1925, in Delia, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Eunice Jeffcoat Spivey.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Inwood, W.Va.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wayne M. Simpson; one daughter, Patsy Ruth Miskin of Ruther Glen, Va.; one stepdaughter, Shirley Ann Goodgame of Princeville, Ore.; three sisters, Juanita Wilkerson, Lillian Antes and Frances Weiss, all of Montgomery, Ala.; two brothers, Paul and Herman Spivey; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and two stepgrandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel, Inwood. The Rev. Devin Ward will officiate. Burial will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in National Memorial Cemetery in Fairfax, Va.

The family will receive friends at South Berkeley Chapel, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Samuel O. Barron


GREAT CACAPON, W.Va. - Samuel Oliver Barron, 54, of Great Cacapon, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born Jan. 25, 1947, in Norfolk, Va., he was the son of the late William Joseph and Allie Arbelle Bembridge Roebuck.

He attended public schools in Baltimore, and earned his degree in cosmetology.

He worked as a cosmetologist with Savage Beauty Shop in Savage, Md. He also worked as a cabaret performer, singer and pianist in Atlantic City, N.J.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by two sisters, Betsy Roebuck Harrison of Williamston, N.C., and Nancy Roebuck Lynch of Berkeley Springs; two brothers, Patrick F. Barron of Alameda, Calif., and Edwin Roebuck of Tampa, Fla.; two aunts; two uncles; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his friend and companion of 31 years, Robert Mayer; one sister, Velma Ciccotti; and one brother, Thomas G. Miles.

There will be a gathering of friends Saturday at 2 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union St., Berkeley Springs. Burial will be private.




Mary L. Rhoe


MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Mary Louise Rhoe, 80, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001.

Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. Pastor Kathy Spitzer will officiate. Burial will be in Snyders Cemetery in Morgan County, W.Va.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.




Ruth A. Shank


Ruth Amelia Shank, 89, of 86 Nottingham Road, Hagerstown, who died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, also is survived by two great-great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Bernard Feigley, Kenneth Feigley, Charles Feigley, George Feigley, Edgar Feigley and Robert Feigley.




Edwin T. Hollinger


Edwin Theodore "Ted" Hollinger, 99, of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

He was born Oct. 19, 1902, in Chambersburg, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Hollinger.

He was a sales representative for Dixie Millworks of Hagerstown for more than 50 years.

He attended Covenant Presbyterian and St. John's Episcopal churches, both in Hagerstown.

He was a member of Sons of the American Revolution and The National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.

Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are by Olin L. Molesworth Funeral Home in Damascus, Md.




William A. Weicht


WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - William Allen "Bill" Weicht, 33, of Black Oak Road, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.

Born June 6, 1968, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of Shirley Jean Blankley Breakall and the stepson of Joseph R. Breakall of Warfordsburg.

He attended Southern Fulton High School in Warfordsburg.

He was employed as co-manager of the Log Cabin Inn in Hancock and formerly was employed by Rayloc Inc., in Hancock.

He was a Protestant.

He was a member of Psycle Barn Riders, in Little Orleans, Md., and H.O.G.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by one sister, Margaret Ann McCarty of Warfordsburg; two brothers, John Weicht of Warfordsburg and Matthew Joseph Lee Weicht of California; two stepsisters, Lisa Chestnut and Jenny Breakall, both of Warfordsburg; one stepbrother, Joey Breakall of Washington, D.C.; two nieces and one nephew.

Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church, in care of Diane Kincaid, 6251 Thompson Road, Warfordsburg, PA 17267.




Roy H. Conrad


Roy Homer Conrad, 76, of 151 Chantilly Court, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.
