Alan D. Fleming

SALISBURY, Md. - Alan Dale "Lanny" Fleming, 46, of Salisbury, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, as a result of injuries sustained in a fall at his home.

Born in Germany, he was the son of Martha Evelyn May of Fort Worth, Texas, and the late Dalton Dickerson Fleming Jr.

He was a graduate of Snow Hill High School in Snow Hill, Md.

He worked for many years as a butcher, and also had worked as a painter.

He was a member of East Side Men's Club of Salisbury.

He is survived by two sons, Brad Fleming and Adam Fleming, both of Snow Hill; one brother, Dalton Dickerson Fleming III, of Hagerstown; one half-sister, Crystal Bruff of Salisbury; his stepmother, Marie C. Fleming of Stockton, Md.; and two nieces.

Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Stockton Memory Gardens in Stockton. The Rev. Rick Edmund will officiate.


Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Burbage Funeral Home, 208 W. Federal St., Snow Hill.

Alberta J. Rosenberry

DRY RUN, Pa. - Alberta Jane "Bertie" Rosenberry, 69, of 21290 Goshorn Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at Manor Care Health Services in Chambersburg, Pa.

Born April 26, 1932, in Shade Gap, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John Neely and Ethel Jane Krugh Berrier.

Her husband, Robert Virgil Rosenberry, died June 29, 1982.

She retired from the dietary department of Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg after 20 years of service.

She was a member of Rock Assembly of God Pentecostal Church in McAlisterville, Pa.

She is survived by three sons, Robert C. Rosenberry, James E. Rosenberry and David L. Rosenberry, all of Dry Run; three sisters, Delores M. Brechbill of Spring Run, Pa., Anna B. Johnson of Orrstown, Pa., and Winifred I. Berrier of McAlisterville; three brothers, Harold N. Berrier of Enola, Pa., Joseph C. Berrier of East Waterford, Pa., and Gerald L. Berrier of McAlisterville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra K. Clouser, on April 5, 1999; and one brother, John A. Berrier in 1988.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at John L. Agett Funeral Home, 18875 Main St., Dry Run. Darwin C. Goshorn will officiate. Burial will be in Upper Path Valley Cemetery, Fannett Township, Pa.

Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles R. Corbin

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Charles Ronald "Ronny" Corbin, 53, of Charles Town, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001, at Integrated Health Services, Charles Town.

Born Nov. 2, 1948, in Winchester, Va., he was the son of Thelma M. Gregory Corbin Kerr of Manassas, Va., and the late Robert F. Corbin.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janet Corbin of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a daughter, Wendy Sue Corbin of Atlanta; two brothers, Irvin Corbin of Inwood, W.Va., and Danny Corbin of Manassas; a sister, Gail Ann Larkin of Stafford, Va.; and three grandchildren.

Services and burial will be private.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Clara S. Shanholtz

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Clara S. Shanholtz, 91, of Martinsburg, and formerly of Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Heartland of Martinsburg.

Born Nov. 17, 1910, in Slanesville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Wilbur S. and Nettie Hott Shanholtz.

She was associated with Fairchild Industries for more than 20 years.

She was of the Protestant faith and formerly attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Hagerstown.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, including Dorothy Anderson and Geraldine Burris of Martinsburg, with whom she resided.

She was preceded in death by four brothers; and seven sisters. She was the last of her immediate family.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. William C. Crowe will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dolores F. Randolph

BALTIMORE - In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Dolores F. Campher Randolph, 72, of 5405 Lynview Ave., who died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, may be made to Greater Campher Temple, Kings Apostle Holiness Church Building Fund, Hagerstown.

Donald G. Canfield Sr.

SHARPSBURG - Donald Gerald Canfield Sr., 66, of 18424 Mansfield Road, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2001, at his home.

Born Nov. 10, 1935, in Sharpsburg, he was the son of the late Robert Vaughn and Hazel Irene Churchey Canfield.

He retired from Pangborn Corp. in Hagerstown.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was of the Christian faith.

He was a member of W.D. Byron Post 1936 VFW in Hagerstown.
