She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Raymond E. Collis; two daughters, Joyce Gosnell and Karen Hollandsworth, both of Martinsburg; a brother, Joseph R. Bivens of Martinsburg; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Bivens.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. John V. DiBacco Jr. will be celebrant. Burial prayers will be recited in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

William E. Petefish

SHARPSBURG - William Earl Petefish, 72, of 17455 General Lee Drive, who died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, was born in Stanley, Va.


Ethel G. Moats

Ethel G. Moats, 91, of Potomac Towers in Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.

Born March 14, 1910 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Milton E. and Mary E. Byers Moats.

She attended local schools and Columbia Business College.

She was formerly employed by T.S. Michael Co. in Hagerstown.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Hagerstown.

She is survived by friends, Betty Lou Rinn, Henrietta Potter, Florence Heinze, Isabel Hudson and Elsie Honoshowski.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown. The Rev. Fred M. Harris will officiate.

Arrangements are by Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.

Claire M. Brown

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Claire M. Brown, 82, of The Village of Laurel Run, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at the nursing home.

She was born June 21, 1919, in Glen Lyon, Pa.

She was of the Roman Catholic faith.

Services and burial will be private.
