Three charged in connection with break-in, burglary



CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Three Jefferson County residents have been charged in connection with a break-in and burglary at a private home and a business, according to Magistrate Court records.

Charged were Brian Keith Yowell, 22, of 565 Gilbert St., Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; Jessica D'Angelo, 19, of 517 Grassdale St., Ranson, W.Va.; and Mary Beth Engle, 18, of Mecklinburg Heights, Shepherdstown, W.Va.

Yowell was charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, breaking and entering, grand larceny and conspiracy to commit breaking and entering, according to court records. He was being held on $50,000 bond.

Angelo was charged with conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and grand larceny. She was released after posting $20,000 bond.

Engle was charged with conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and was released on $10,000 bond.

According to court records, a home on South Mildred Street in Ranson was entered on Oct. 31 and stereo equipment, computer games and jewelry was taken.

The Swiss Miss restaurant in Harpers Ferry was broken into on Oct. 24 and a safe, cash register and cash, the value of which totalled more than $1,200, were taken.

Court records allege that Yowell and another man broke into the restaurant while the women waited in the car as driver and lookout. Angelo drove the car, court records said.

The safe was smashed open behind a high school in Berryville, Va., court records said.
