Police seek help in finding teenager

Hagerstown City Police are asking for help in locating 16-year-old Nicole Moler, who had been missing from her home since Monday or early Tuesday.

Nicole is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and has blue eyes and blonde hair.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call police at 301-790-3700.

Chambersburg man charged with theft

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man who told police last month that he was robbed of his employer's night deposit has been charged with theft, Chambersburg Police said.

Ryan E. Sleighter, 21, of 172 Theodore Drive, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and disposition, criminal conspiracy and making false reports to law enforcement authorities, police said.

Sleighter told police on April 27 that at 8:30 p.m. he was robbed outside the F & M Bank at 841 Wayne Ave. The Chambersburg Pizza Hut employee said he was still in his car with the deposit when he was approached by a male who demanded money.


The deposit would have been for $2,267, police said.

Sleighter gave police a description of the alleged robber.

As a result of an investigation, police alleged, they determined he filed a false report and kept the money.

Woman, children unhurt in accident

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A woman and her four young children escaped injury Wednesday evening when the driver of a Chrysler LeBaron turned in front of her minivan on Sollenberger Road, forcing her into a mailbox and utility pole.

Donna Lehman, 28, of Chambersburg, and the four children ranging in age from five months to 7 years were all belted, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The driver of the LeBaron, Jeffrey Hockenberry, 34, of Chambersburg, was also uninjured in the 7:52 p.m. accident.

Garages broken into in Hagerstown

A half dozen garages at the rear of 38 Broadway were all broken into over the weekend but apparently nothing was taken, according to Hagerstown City Police.

The locks were cut off but no other damage was reported, police said this morning.

Two shotguns stolen from Pa. residence

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Burglars pried open a door to a home at 12159 Mountain Road Wednesday and stolen two shotguns, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Taken were a 12-gauge Remington 870 and a 20-gauge Mossberg pump model.
