13-year-old boy charged with indecent exposure

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - A 13-year-old boy has been charged with indecent exposure following an incident in an Antrim Township residence Tuesday, Pennsylvania State Police said.

A 15-year-old girl told police that around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday she had to ask the boy repeatedly to remove his hand from her body because he was touching her inappropriately.

After the third time she had to remove his hand and told him to stop the boy exposed himself to her, police alleged.

A juvenile petition would be filed with the Juvenile Probation Department, police said.

Tractor-trailer's lost wheel leads to small fires on I-81

WILLIAMSPORT - A tractor-trailer lost one of its 18 wheels on Interstate 81 Thursday afternoon and the hot rubber sparked several small fires on the shoulder of the road, Williamsport Fire Chief William Ball said.


Another truck driver stopped to help and firefighters put out the fires with a small water extinguisher, Ball said.

The incident occurred about 4 p.m. on the southbound shoulder of I-81 between Interstate 70 and U.S. 11.

"We see a lot of really weird stuff on the interstate," he said.

Deputies investigate theft, vandalisms in county

About $1,000 was taken from the Hillside Station at 19110 Keep Tryst Road in Knoxville Wednesday around noon, Washington County Sheriff's deputies said.

Deputies believe the thieves got in through a back door.

HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Also on Wednesday, deputies checked into a spate of vandalisms in the 25500 block of Military Road in Cascade, where three cars were spraypainted with vulgarities.

Damage was estimated at $1,500.

Police seeking witnesses to hit-and-run accident

FREDERICK, Md. - Maryland State Police are looking for witnesses to a Wednesday night hit-and-run accident on Md. 180 where a bicyclist was struck from behind on the westbound berm just west of Elmer Derr Road.

Anthony C. Hopko III, 34, of Jefferson, Md., was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries in the 8:25 p.m. incident, police said.

One driver injured in two-vehicle accident

One man was injured when two vehicles collided at U.S. 40 and Day Road Thursday morning, Maryland State Police said.

Police said the accident occurred at 8 a.m. when a driver going west on U.S. 40 attempted to make a U-turn at Day Road and turned into the path of a car traveling east on U.S. 40.

Francy Christina Millburn, 29, of 618 W. Franklin St., Apt. 2, Hagerstown was cited for failing to yield the right of way.

The other driver, Talmadge Hypatia Payton, 49, of Brunswick, Md. was treated at Washington County Hospital and released.
