UNION BRIDGE, Md. - Thomas Malphrus homered twice to lead a three-homer game for Boonsboro on Wednesday afternoon as the Warriors beat Frachis Scott Key 12-8 to give coach Fred Kreiger his 200th career victory.

Earlier, Sean Selby's bases-loaded single in the bottom of the eighth gave the Warriors a 13-12 win in the completion of a game suspended by darkness on May 2.

In the suspended game, Malphrus had two more hits and Cody Hanes, Steve Weaver and Keith Kellinger had three hits for Boonsboro (12-8, 11-7 MVAL). Kellinger also had his area-high ninth homer in the game.

In Game 2, Kellinger had two more hits and Weaver also had two hits, including a two run homer.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Dustin Knox's RBI double in the top of the fifth gave Gettysburg the victory in the Mid Penn Commonwealth. Ryan Ulrich added a solo homer for Gettysburg (13-5, 9-3). Ben Leonard gave Waynesboro (12-7, 7-5) a two-run lead in the first inning with a two-run homer.

True finished with two hits, including a home run, and three RBI for the Indians (3-14). Timmy Keebaugh got the win, scattering six hits and striking out eight.

Danny Keefer had two hits, including a home run, for Hancock (10-9). Brandon Fling threw a four-hitter and struck out eight in the loss.

Alison Higgs fired a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts, but South Hagerstown had to rally for four runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat North Hagerstown.

Higgs led the Rebels (12-8, 10-8 MVAL) with three hits and three RBI. Mallory Tsetsilas added two hits for the winners. North falls to 6-14, 5-13.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Shelly Corwell struck out 10 in a four-hitter as the Trojans' seniors completed a four-year sweep of the Mid Penn Commonwealth.

The half-dozen seniors for Chambersburg (20-0, 12-0) finished with a 58-0 record in the league over the high school careers. Heather Rife also had two hits for the Trojans.
