WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Jeremy Geesaman's steal of home in the third inning was enough support for Scott Thompson, who pitched a complete game two-hitter as No. 2 Waynesboro defeated Red Land 1-0 on Friday.

Geesaman singled and went to third on Woodring's single. Woodring then stole second, and Geesaman raced for home on the throw, beating the return throw home for the game's only run.

Thompson (2-0) cruised, walking none and striking out 10 for Waynesboro (7-3).

BOILING SPRINGS, Pa. - Greencastle remained undefeated by beating Boiling Springs.

Jeremy Barnes had four stolen bases and scored four times for Greencastle (9-0, 7-0 Mid-Penn). Tony Showalter went 3-for-4 with four RBI, including a two-run triple. Brian Bitner hit a two-run homer in the third. Zack Barkdoll, Brad Fitz and David Iler added two hits each for the Blue Devils.

Alex Denkovich and Skylar Group combined on a five-hitter with six strikeouts and two walks.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Lascellas Riley led off the bottom of the first inning with a double and Chad Braniff, Chip Brown and Andy Stottlemyre hit back-to-back-to-back RBI doubles as the Trojans won their sixth straight game.

Braniff had three hits and three RBI, Brown had two hits and two RBI and Stottlemyre had two hits and three RBI for Chambersburg (6-2).

B.J. McGinn pitched three innings of one-hit relief striking out five while picking up the save for Bobby Cramer (3-0).

GEORGETOWN, S.C. - Sam Walls doubled into the left-field corner with one out in the bottom of the eighth to drive in Brandon Conway and give the Cougars second place in the Hawaiian Tropic Tournament.

Kyle Wilt also drove in Walls with the first run of the game for Jefferson (18-4), scoring Walls. Denny Hartlove also had two hits for the Cougars, who went 4-1 during their week on the Carolina coast.

Winning pitcher Matt Bellon capped the inning with another RBI double for the Hubs (6-4, 4-4). Matt Johnson also had two hits and three RBI. Keith Kellinger and Sean Selby both homered for Boonsboro (7-4, 6-3).

Danny Fowler added two hits and two RBI, while Chris Fox and Jeff Decker had two hits for the Rebels. Winning pitcher Adam Cote gave up three earned runs and five hits in six innings with six strikeouts.

Gary Naile had three hits, while Adam McAllister had two hits and two RBI for Williamsport.

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Jimmy Hardy got his first win of the season, pitching a one-hit shutout to help Middletown beat Smithsburg in the MVAL.

Brian Fritz had three hits and two RBIs for Middletown (6-5, 6-3). Heath Brown added two hits and scored four runs, while Brian McQuillen scored three runs for Middletown.

Smithsburg falls to 1-9.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Hedgesville got a pair of six-inning victories by beating Hampshire twice by the 10-run rule.

In the first game, Matt Yurish allowed five hits and struck out 13 for Hedgesville (7-7). Josh Runkles finished with three RBI and two hits. Ian Edwards and Nicky Brown added two RBI each. G.W. Kilmer and Jason Clingerman had two hits.

In the second game, Dirk Webb allowed three hits and struck out 10. Webb helped himself with two hits and three RBI. Brown and Edwards added two hits each.
