During the Easter holiday, the Humane Society of Washington County offers these safety tips for pet owners.

HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Avoid feeding pets chocolate. Chocolate can be toxic to cats and dogs. Keep chocolate-filled baskets off the floor so pets will not be tempted.

HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Avoid buying rabbits, chicks and ducklings for Easter gifts. These animals require a great deal of attention and care that may not be considered during an impulse purchase.
