Mail Call for 4/13

"Here are some more words of wisdom: 'Those who shut their ears to the cries of the poor will be ignored in their own time of need, as whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing.'"

-Hagerstown

"I think they should change the name of Mail Call to 'Complain Call' because all of the comments that we read are negative, negative, negative. Come on, Mail Call, let's hit some positive."

"I was watching 'Millionaire' every night and I don't think they should have told us that there was going to be two winners this week. That kind of ruined everything. I know the ratings were down, but they didn't need to tell. Surprise us."

"I can tell you why Sen. Mooney got less funding for his District than most of the other people did. Glendening is for the gays, as a matter of fact. He is going to ram everything down our throats and if we don't like it, tough. That is the way he operates. I am a Democrat. I guarantee you one thing, Mooney has my support. He is going the way that we should be going."

"In response to a Mail Call about no more handicapped kids being born in Washington County, how in the world do you know? As far as, we no longer need Marshall Street School, we need it more now than ever. How would you feel if you had a child in that school and they wanted to take that away from them. I think you are more sick than any of the children that are handicapped and born in Hagers-town."

"I am calling about whoever wrote the Mail Call about the handicapped children. God loves everyone. He doesn't care who or what you are. The children cannot help that they are born handicapped and whoever made this comment has a warped mind and very sick. I hope this statement follows you and haunts you for the rest of your life."

"Can someone tell me what President Bush's major was in college? It certainly wasn't English, marketing or mass communication."

"I recently purchased a used car, a white Chrysler. I took it over to The Department of Motor Vehicles to get the licenses and everything changed over. While I was in there, someone slammed their car door into the driver's side of my door and left a dent in it. I find it appalling that some of the people in this area have so little regard for other people's possessions. You are very irresponsible people and I hope some day the same thing happens to you."

"Let's talk about school consolidating. Anyone who thinks that they are going to save money by consolidating these schools, you can't see past your nose. Come on, you are supposed to be educated people. Let's use common sense."

"In reference to the Dale Earnhardt Sundrop bottles. I have the bottles. Call me at 301-432-6733."

"All of us should boycott all Chinese products."

-Hagerstown

"I want to wish my mom a happy birthday. Love, Robby."

"I want to say that my heart goes out to the people who lost their little girl in the swimming pool. There are more children that drown in swimming pools than by guns every year. You can't be too careful."

"I was wondering if anyone knows when the Apple Blossom Festival is going to be? It is held in Winchester, Va. If you know, call Mail Call."

"I want to wish three of the most important people in my life, Bill, Billy and Courtney, a very happy Easter. I love you."

"Happy 51st birthday Sonny on Friday, April 13. From your family."
