Grove-Guthrie


Randy and Nancy Grove of Williamsport wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nan Louise Grove, to Frank Lawrence Guthrie Jr., son of Diane and Frank Guthrie Sr. of Boonsboro.

Ms. Grove is a 1993 graduate of Clear Spring High School, a 1997 graduate of Frostburg State University, with a bachelor of science degree in accounting, and received a master in business administration degree from Frostburg State University in 2000. She is the division financial analyst with Ingersoll Rand's Road Machinery Division in Shippensburg, Pa.

Mr. Guthrie is a 1989 graduate of Boonsboro High School, a 1993 graduate of West Virginia University, with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering, and is pursuing a master in business administration degree from Frostburg State University. He is the production team leader in the engine assembly department at Mack Trucks Inc. in Hagerstown.

An April 20, 2002, wedding is being planned.

Mann-Swope


Tommy and Debbie Mann of Hagerstown wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Renee, to Ryan Matthew Swope, son of Ronald and Linda Swope of Smithsburg.

Miss Mann is a 1997 graduate of Smithsburg High School and a 1999 graduate of Hagerstown Community College, with an associate's degree in applied sciences. She is pursuing degrees in medical transcription and reception and health information technologies at Hagerstown Business College. She is employed at Waypoint Bank in Hagerstown.

Mr. Swope is a 1996 graduate of Smithsburg High School and a 1998 graduate of Hagerstown Community College, with an associate's degree in applied science. He is majoring in history, with a minor in journalism at Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, W.Va. He is employed at Food Lion in Smithsburg.

An Aug. 24, 2002, wedding is planned.




Danzuso-Clapp


Stacey Marie Danzuso and Kevin Christopher Clapp wish to announce their engagement.

Ms. Danzuso is the daughter of James and Catherine Danzuso of River Vale, N.J. She received a bachelor of arts degree in mass communication from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., in 1997. She is employed as a reporter with The Herald-Mail Co.

Mr. Clapp is the son of Arthur and Patricia Clapp of Tolland, Conn. He received a bachelor of arts degree in newspaper journalism and a bachelor of science degree in political science from Syracuse University in Syracuse, N.Y. He is employed as a reporter with The Herald-Mail Co.

An Oct. 13 wedding is planned.




Goad-Young


Calvin and Kay Goad of Sharpsburg wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Hilary S. Goad, to David F. Young, son of Francis "Skip" and Barbara "Lois" Young of Frederick, Md.

Ms. Goad is a 1997 graduate of Frederick Christian Academy. She will graduate in May from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla., with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education.

Mr. Young is a 1997 graduate of Frederick Christian Academy. He also will graduate in May from Pensacola Christian College, with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

A June 2002 wedding is planned.




Treml-Stoner


Mr. and Mrs. Raymond F. Treml of Mercersburg, Pa., wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Heidi E. Treml of Pittsburgh to Mark H. Stoner, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Stoner of Mercersburg.

Ms. Treml is a 1987 graduate of James Buchanan High School and received a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University and her master of business administration and master of science degrees from University of Pittsburgh. She is employed as a software project manager with Marconi plc.

Mr. Stoner is a 1985 graduate of James Buchanan High School and received a bachelor's degree from University of Pittsburgh. He is a partner with Stoner's Hijos Hills Inc.

A July wedding is planned.




Rippeon-Burdette


Amanda "Mandy" Kay Rippeon and William "Will" Stephen Burdette wish to announce their engagement.

Miss Rippeon is the daughter of Jimmy and Julie Rippeon of Wolfsville, Md. She is a 2000 graduate of Middletown High School. She is employed parttime with S&W Lawn Service.

Mr. Burdette is the son of Steve and Kathy Burdette of Frederick, Md. He is a 1995 graduate of Thomas Johnson High School. He owns and operates S&W Lawn Service in Frederick.

A July 21 wedding is planned.
