MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Martinsburg resident Bob Fleenor was honored by the Martinsburg City Council Thursday night for his recent success on the game show "Jeopardy!"

Mayor George Karos presented Fleenor with a proclamation to recognize his accomplishment. Fleenor won five games in a row and earned $55,700. He will return for the game show's tournament of champions later this year.

Karos said Fleenor represented the city, county and state in a positive light and "served as an inspiration to all people."

Fleenor gave the city and the teachers here great credit for his success.

"Ninety to 95 percent of all I learned was within 10 miles of this spot," he said. "This was a place that gave me a center for my life."
