Here are some of the calls we have received lately:

"In regards to the Dale Ernnhardt Sundrop bottles. There are six bottles in the set. 1979 rookie of the year and 1980, 1986, 1987, 1990, 1991 Winston Cup Champion."

"In regards to the person that was asking why you can't walk your dogs in the park. Why do you think you can't? Because people who have dogs and walk them around the neighborhood and in the park don't clean up after them."

"I want to know if anyone knows when the Colonial Drive Yard Sale is this year?"

"Does anyone know how to get rid of lady bugs? They are on my walls and on the inside of my windows. I can't stand the site of bugs, so they are very irritating."

"For the raspberry lovers in the community. What kind of fertilizer or plant food can we put on them?"

"Who is responsible for emptying the trash cans in the square at Sharpsburg? They look terrible."

"I certainly hope that all the people in the southern part of the county who are fighting the cell phone tower realize that when they try to use their cell phones to call 911 to get help with an emergency and it doesn't work, that you have only yourself to blame, not anyone else."

"In regards to the sidewalk that has not been taken care of on Hager Street near Frederick Street for approximately three years now. I live on Bester Street about two houses up from this location. I was wondering why the city hasn't enforced the law to repair this sidewalk. There are bricks piled up. Can anyone help me. I have called City Hall several times and I never get an answer."

"First, I am disgusted with our governor for passing a special rights law for gays while at the same time not passing a law for child molesters. Second, to the person who has the problem with the moles in her yard, it is quite easy and simple. Go to a seed store and buy caster beans and put them in their tunnels and they will eat them and you won't have anymore trouble with them."

"This is Mrs. Rudisill on Salem Avenue, about the lady who came and picked up the store coupons. If you are still interested, I still have some. Call me at 301-791-1775."

"To the person who wants to know how to get rid of the ground moles. Just put sand in all their holes."

"Why did The Herald-Mail stop publishing the drunk driving convictions? These people should be kept off the street and we should know who they are. I think they should have their names in the paper."

"Do not leave the shopping carts at the handicapped spots. If you use one, put it back. Don't leave them right up against the people's carts."

"I am calling about the Neighborhood Watch group in the Lakeside Park. I agree with the original person who called in. I have not seen too many people around here caring about anything, except snooping. I don't know where they were when my son got beat up in the little play yard on two occasions. Not one person stuck their heads out of their house. I am sure that I am not the only one."
