Mail Call for 3/16

"I would like to reach the Maginnis Family. I understand the one girl Gene Marie, might live in the Greencastle, Pa., area, close to me. I would like to have a party on March 17. If your mother's name was Carmen, please get in touch with me. Call me at 301-739-0112."

"I called on Monday about the newspaper for Sunday and not being satisfied and they had in the paper about what happened and I want to apologize for what I said. Thank you."

"This is in response to the person who said that they have some free wood. My number is 301-739-8477."

"I am a bus driver and I hope that some of the parents would stop telling their children that they can do as they want when they get on that bus and they have no reason to listen to anyone. One said, 'my mother called the Board of Education and they told her that as long as I stay in my seat, I can say and do what I want.' These parents don't know anything that happens on these buses. Some of them move around before they get to their stop. You never know where they are going to be at. The same rules should go as it does for the classrooms."

"I am calling in regards to people saying what is going on with the school system. I am from a large city moving to a smaller one. I think the school system in Williamsport is great. I think it is the parents who are raising the children. There needs to be discipline. I see kids running around with no parental supervision and using curse words. There is nothing done about it. Schools are teachers not baby-sitters. Thanks, Williamsport Elementary School, you are doing a wonderful job."

"To the person saying that we don't need the gun control. We don't need to control the guns, we need to control the type of gun. Hunting is with rifles and different kinds of weapons. You don't let these people make these weapons that can be hidden in your pockets."

"I am a curious paper reader. The economy is plunging in Wall Street. This could not have happened overnight. What happened the last year that Clinton was in office? Is this concerning anyone else?"

"I have an Easter Egg basket question. Does anyone even eat those marshmallow peep things that are shaped like ducks? They are totally nasty."

"Mr. Mayor of Funkstown, why are you building more ball fields and enlarging your park, when you and your people opposed Wal-Mart because of the traffic? You have traffic, you want to build more ball fields, how are you going to handle the traffic from these events? Did you ask the people on Beaver Creek Road if they wanted this road? You want your cake and eat it, too."
