2 injured in I-81 wreck

SCOTLAND, Pa. - Two Maryland residents were injured when their car struck a tractor-trailer on Interstate 81 Friday evening, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Donna Lee Grady, 35, and Brian Grady, 31, both of 11615 Hopkins Lane, Smithsburg, were treated for injuries at Chambersburg Hospital, police said.

They were injured in the 7:50 p.m. accident on I-81, just south of Exit 8 in Greene Township.

The Gradys were driving north in a 2000 Subaru Impreza in the left lane when the car swerved onto the shoulder and then back into the road, crossing into the right lane and impacting the left side of a tractor-trailer, police said.

The Subaru spun into the median and the truck driver pulled his vehicle to the side of the road.

The driver of the truck, Ireneusz Czajkowski, 50, of Brooklyn, N.Y., was not injured, police said.

No charges have been filed.

City man is cited for disorderly conduct

Hagerstown City Police cited a man in connection with an incident in the 200 block of East Washington Street Sunday.

Ronnie Burrell, no address available, was cited for disorderly conduct, police said.

Apartment burglarized

A Hagerstown apartment was burglarized Sunday, Hagerstown City Police said.

A person or persons entered an apartment in the 100 block of East Franklin Street by smashing a window. A DVD player was taken, police said.

Jeep recovered

A Jeep Cherokee stolen from Hagerstown last fall was recovered in Romney, W.Va., Sunday, Hagerstown City Police said.
