WALKERSVILLE, Md. - No. 5 Walkersville scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally past No. 2 Brunswick 8-7 in a Monocacy Valley Athletic League game on Thursday.

Jared Heman had two hits and three RBI and Derek Krantz and Bill Auch each had two hits and one RBI apiece for Walkersville (4-2 overall, 4-2 in MVAL).

Alan Webber had three hits, Chris Walker had two hits and Joe Rusenko had two hits and an RBI for Brunswick (4-1, 4-1).

Mark Crawford (3-0) went the first five innings in picking up the win.

Heath Brown added two hits for Middletown (5-1).

Eric Fitzgerald had three hits while Gary Naile and Matt Allen each had two hits for Williamsport (1-4).

SMITHSBURG - Catoctin pounded out 17 hits, including three home runs, en route to a victory over Smithsburg.

Danny Novak had two hits, including a three-run homer in the second inning, Chad Wolfe had three hits, including a solo homer, and three RBI, Kevin Favorite had two hits, including a solo homer and a double, Justus Yokum had three hits, and Chris Kaleo and Chris Legore had two hits for Catoctin.

Jim Swanson (1-0) picked up the win in relief while Legore retired all 11 batters he faced while recording a save.

Brandon Fisher had two hits and an RBI for Smithsburg.

Zack Glover also had two hits for Martinsburg (5-2). Bobby Weatherholtz, Brandon Combs and Chris Price all had two hits for the Applemen (5-3-1).

HANCOCK - Doug Steiner fired 3 2/3 innings of two-hit relief and Dustin Yost tied the game with a bases-loaded RBI single in the fifth to lead Hancock to victory.

Steiner came on with the Panthers trailing 7-5 and shut down Paw Paw with five strikeouts without a walk.

Ricky Snow went 3-for-3 with an RBI while Justin Moore added two hits and three RBI. Chris Dobrzanski had two hits and an RBI for Hancock (3-1).

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Chris Brooks drove in three runs and Craig Smith had three hits to back Donell Lee's first career start for the Cougars.

Lee got the win and Brian McLaughlin got his first save, allowing just one hit in three-plus innings for Jefferson (8-1), which also got two hits from Brandon Conway. Berkeley Springs is now 3-4.

BOONSBORO - Alison Higgs fanned 14 while tossing a complete-game no-hitter leading South Hagerstown over Boonsboro.

Higgs retired the first nine batters she faced, allowed a baserunner on an error in the fourth and struck out the side in the fifth en route to the gem. She didn't walk a batter.

Ashley Gray (1-3) nearly matched Higgs' performance, striking out 11 and allowing just two hits and two walks for Boonsboro (1-4).

South (3-1) scored two runs in the fourth inning when Higgs walked and scored on Jennifer Rhea's triple. Rhea scored on a sacrifice fly.

Emily Warrenfeltz was the winning pitcher striking out four and walking one. Kline had three RBI and Enders had an RBI and three runs scored.

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Everett took advantage of two Southern Fulton errors in the third inning to score three unearned runs en route to a victory over Southern Fulton.
