Pa. boy dies in car accident



FORT LOUDON, Pa. - A youngster who was a passenger in a car involved in an accident in Metal Township Wednesday morning died that evening.

Samuel Myerly, 11, died at 6:15 p.m. at Hershey Medical Center, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

The accident happened around 7:50 a.m. Wednesday on Pa. 75, near Sweetwater Road, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Police alleged that Marie Bounds, 48, pulled her car out of her driveway and into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

Samuel and Samantha Myerly, 14, were passengers in Bounds' vehicle, police said.

Bounds, of 8117 Path Valley Road, and Samantha Myerly were released from Hershey Medical Center Thursday evening, a nursing supervisor said.

The driver of the second car, Aaron Coons, 17, 18861 Main St., Dry Run, Pa., was not injured, police said.
