Audrey B. Staton


FREDERICK, Md. - Audrey Bernice Staton, 78, of 429 S. Market St., died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born March 31, 1922, in Ijamsville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Delia Gaver Shultz.

Her husband, Jairus W. Staton Sr., died Feb. 18, 1986.

She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick.

She had been employed as a cafeteria worker at South Frederick Elementary School.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda D. Ferree of Frederick; one son, Jairus W. Staton Jr. of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one brother, Mehrl Shultz of Frederick; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Home, 1201 N. Market St., Frederick. The Rev. David G. Oravec will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 1 p.m.




Julia W. Fuss


QUINCY, Pa. - Julia W. Wolfkill Fuss, 82, of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 140 N. Church St., Waynesboro, Pa., died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at the home.

Born April 3, 1918, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ethel K. Gushert Wolfkill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clifford "Pete" Fuss, in 1986. They were married in 1943.

She was a 1936 graduate of Waynesboro High School; and a 1938 graduate of Waynesboro Business School.

She worked for Dr. W. H. Wishard. She had been employed by Landis Tool Co. in Waynesboro.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Waynesboro.

She was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15 Ladies Auxiliary of Waynesboro; and National AARP.

She is survived by a sister, Virginia Verdier of Columbiana, Ohio; a niece and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Wilson.

Graveside services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro. The Rev. James T. Williams will officiate.

There will be no public viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 30 W. North St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.


Clifford L. Parody


OCCOQUAN, Va. - Clifford L. Parody, 90, of Occoquan, and formerly of Peekskill, N.Y., died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, in Virginia.

Born Aug. 17, 1910, in Chicago, he was the son of the late Aubrey J. and Edith C. Andry Parody.

He attended Peekskill High School; and Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute.

He worked for Melpar from 1949-52. He then became manager of the Aerospace Facilities at Westinghouse in Linthicum, Md., where he was responsible for the Bomarc Radar Project which led the DEC division into the defense business.

A veteran of World War II, he was a major in the Marine Corps, acting as chief of the Marine and Amphibious Branch of the Bureau of Ships.

He was a ham radio operator; his call letters were K3EER.

He is survived by his wife, Constance H. Parody; a daughter, Cameron T. Parody of Fredericksburg, Va.; three sons, Christopher C. Parody of Hagerstown, Craig J. Parody of Lakeland, Fla. and Clifford P. Parody; and three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Gramm; and three brothers, Ovid F. Parody, Roy J. Parody and Aubrey J. Parody.

Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Williamsport.




Jean M. Lecron


WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Jean M. Misner Lecron, 69, of 11694 Airport Road, died Tuesday, March 20 2001, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born April 11, 1931, in Mont Alto, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Roy B. and Mildred Unger Misner.

She was a 1949 graduate of Waynesboro High School; and a 1977 graduate of Sarasota (Fla.) School of Cosmetology.

She was employed as a hostess at Keystone Kountry Kitchen. Earlier, she was employed as a beautician; and by Stanley Co. in Chambersburg, Pa., for 10 years.

She attended Quincy United Methodist Church in Quincy, Pa.

She was a member of Franklin County Rock and Mineral Club; and National AARP.

She is survived by her husband, C. Lee Lecron, whom she married Oct. 24, 1998; three daughters, Marsha Smith of Livingston, Mont., Alisa Reynolds of Pittsburgh and Pamala Helm of Waynesboro; a sister, Suzanne M. Benchoff of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucinda Reynolds; and a brother, Donald R. Misner.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. The Rev. Ruth A. Hollister will officiate.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Antietam Humane Society, 8513 Lyons Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.




Clarence C. Lesher


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Clarence C. "Jake" Lesher, 73, of 184 Theodore Drive, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at his home.
