Five face drug charges



Five people were arrested on drug charges Tuesday after police searched three Hagerstown residences, according to the Washington County Narcotics Task Force.

After the task force and Hagerstown City Police's Street Crimes Unit searched 130 South Potomac St., Apt. 3F, residents David E. Stevens Jr., 33, and Michele L. Stevens, 50, were each charged with:

- one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and contributing to the condition of a child

- two counts each of possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance

After searching 120 S. Prospect St., first floor apartment, police charged resident Deborah Ann Baker, 42, with:

- one count of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia

- two counts of maintaining a common nuisance

Police also searched 352 Henry Ave.

Donald D. Jackson, 32, who lives there, was charged with one count of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said Naomi Wanzer, 26, of Woodbridge, Va., was charged with one count of possession of marijuana and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia after the Henry Avenue search.

The Stevenses and Wanzer posted bond and were released from the Washington County Detention Center Wednesday. Baker and Jackson were in custody Wednesday evening.
