Stabbing victim still in fair condition

KNOXVILLE - A man who was stabbed at his home Tuesday remained in fair condition at Washington County Hospital Wednesday evening.

The victim is Theodore Stotler, 71, of 19936 Brownsville Road, Knoxville, according to Washington County Sheriff's deputies.

Washington County Sheriff's deputies said they received a report at 1:30 p.m. that a man with a stab wound was at the Brunswick Ambulance Squad.

Deputies are continuing their investigation.

Police seek vehicle that backed into car

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a vehicle that backed into a car driven by a Good Samaritan who stopped to lend assistance Wednesday morning.

Terry Hann, 20, of McConnellsburg, and Donald Deshong, 41, of Breezewood, were westbound on Pa. 16 at 12:30 a.m. when they encountered a red Chevrolet Beretta parked in the middle of the road facing east, police said.


When Hann pulled his 1991 Hyundai around to offer assistance, the Beretta backed into his car and drove away. Damage was moderate, police said.

Anyone with information on this vehicle is asked to call state police at 717-485-3131.

Counterfeit bill found in restaurant

A counterfeit $20 bill turned up in the cash drawer at the Burger King on Sharpsburg Pike, according to Maryland State Police.

The bill was discovered when a cash deposit was being gathered. It wasn't known when the bill came into the store.

The bill will be forwarded to the U.S. Secret Service.

Probe continues into theft of tools

Nine days after the theft of more than $3,200 in construction tools from a garage on Stevenson Road, Maryland State Police officials are looking for help from citizens that might lead to an arrest.

The tools were taken from the victim's work truck parked somewhere on that road.
