Here are some of the calls we have received lately:

"A lot of things in this country aren't fair. I would like to give you an example. I am a disabled person, I get $607 a month, that comes out to $7,284 a year. I am a single male, living by myself, but I am not eligible for food stamps. I am well under the poverty level. One week I ran out of funds and I am low on food, but I could not get food stamps. Give me some feedback on this and let me know why I cannot get them."

"First we had Columbine, now we have Santee, Calif. Instead of looking for guidelines to help establish a profile to find out who is capable of carrying out future acts, how about focusing the bounds of your attentions in the direction of the bullies? Students who are prone to be timid and mild-mannered can only endure so much abuse before they are finally pushed over the edge. Then they just snap and decide that it is time to get even. Although this is by no means right, how can you really blame them? I remember all too well, about 35 years ago, I was bullied, and I inflicted pain on my abuser and then it stopped. Word got around and people finally left me alone."

"A great big thank you to Gene Hager and Antietam Cable for finally bringing us Fox News Network. It is wonderful that we can now get it in Hagerstown."
