MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Mount Olive improved to 16-4 with a doubleheader sweep of Shepherd College, 7-3 and 14-5 on Thursday.

Shepherd junior Brian Powell went 3-for-4 in the first game with an RBI. Senior Adam Straskuic had two hits and two RBI for the Rams in the second game.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Broadfording Academy advanced into today's 1 p.m. semifinal against an undetermined opponent with a 73-63 win over Life Action Academy and an 60-51 win over Westlake, Mich.in the Hoosier Classic

Joey Paige paced Broadfording (22-12) in both games with a combined 30 points and 19 assists.Carl Nicholson had 14 points in the first game and 15 in the second. Brent Blair scored 10 points in the fourth quarter of the second game.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Jeremy Grove barely missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer as Heritage (20-4) lost in the semifinals.

Grove scored 15 points, all on 3-point field goals. Jonathon Britton scored 10 points for the Eagles.
