Women's history to be taught

For ages 9 and older

In observance of Women's History Month, "Celebrating Women of Courage and Vision," The Women's Memorial in Washington, D.C. is presenting "Dressed For Battle," a "Just 4 Kids" program Saturday, March 10, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The program for ages 9 and older is designed to familiarize young people with American history, patriotism and women's heritage of service. Kids will discover some of America's best-kept secrets - the heroines they didn't know existed - and maybe even meet some of them, too. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The program is open to the public and costs $1 per student, payable in advance. Adult companions are admitted free.

The Women's Memorial is at the end of Memorial Drive at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery. Take the Metro Blue Line to the Arlington Cemetery stop.
