Lincoln Day Dinner set

U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., will be the keynote speaker at Washington County Republicans' annual Lincoln Day Dinner.

The April 27 dinner is expected to draw between 300 and 500 people, said event Chairman Richard Everhart.

"It's our biggest night of the year," said Everhart, a member of the Washington County Republican Central Committee.

Capito, who narrowly defeated Democrat Jim Humphreys in November to win the congressional seat, previously served in the West Virginia House of Delegates.

In addition to Capito, Republican elected officials from across the Tri-State area are expected to attend the dinner, Everhart said.

The event is set for 6 p.m. at the Elks Club on Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown.

Tickets, costing $35 apiece or $60 per couple, can be obtained by calling Everhart at 301-797-4966.
