Maryland man hospitalized after Tuesday police pursuit
FREDERICK, Md. - A 100 mph chase that ended in a crash into a guard rail early Tuesday sent a Silver Spring, Md., man to the hospital with a broken leg.
Maryland State Police in Frederick joined Montgomery County Police in the 1 a.m. pursuit of Peter Lee, 27, whose vehicle crossed the county line at the Monocacy River on Interstate 270 at a high rate of speed, police alleged.
The officers pursued the vehicle, which was running without headlights, westbound on I-70 where it ran into the guard rail in an attempt to exit onto Alt. U.S. 40.
Lee was charged with speeding, fleeing and eluding, and turning off headlights to avoid detection, police said.
He was listed in fair condition at Washington County hospital Tuesday evening.
Pa. pair treated, released following one-vehicle crash
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - A woman and a child were injured Monday night in a single vehicle accident at 9:06 p.m. in the 6600 block of White Church Road, Pennsylvania State Police said.
