Maryland man dies in crash



A New Market, Md., man died after losing control of his car and hitting a guardrail on Interstate 270 Sunday afternoon, Maryland State Police in Frederick said.

Police said Winfield Rodney IV, 27, was driving north on I-270 south of the Monocacy River when he attempted to quickly change lanes at 1:50 p.m.

His 1996 Mitsubishi went off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail, became airborne and overturned.

Police said he was dead at the scene.
