School Board polling citizens on budget priorities

Anyone interested in voicing an opinion on the Washington County Board of Education's proposed $127.4 million budget for fiscal 2002 can take a telephone survey from Friday, March 2, through Friday, March 9th.

Those interested may call 1-877-468-0585 and punch in the four digit code 8908. Then use the telephone keypad to respond to a series of statements about the budget, ranking them by priority on a scale from one to six.

One means "not important" while six means "very important." If a caller has no opinion on an a statement, he or she may enter a seven.

The survey is free, confidential and takes about five minutes. Callers may take the survey at anytime of the day. It ends at midnight on March 9th.
