Allen S. Hartman

MONT ALTO, Pa. - Allen S. Hartman, 41, of 6570 Furnace Road, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at his home.

Born May 12, 1959, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of Judith D. Brown Hartman of Mont Alto and the late C. Edward Hartman.

He was a 1977 graduate of Waynesboro High School.

He worked for a number of fast food restaurants in the area and as a clerk at K-mart. He worked part-time in the summer for Greg's Concessions at area carnivals. He was currently retired.

He was a member of Blue Rock United Brethren Church.

He worked on the Quincy Township II Board of Elections and was a judge at the election polls for the past four years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kimberly S. Forney Hartman, whom he married Nov. 4, 1984; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. The Rev. Donald L. Bender will officiate. Burial will be in Quincy Cemetery in Quincy, Pa.

The family will receive friends Sunday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

June M. Shewbridge

MYERSVILLE, Md. - June Marie Jones Shewbridge, 52, of 10409 Church Hill Road, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Frederick Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born June 20, 1948, she was the daughter of Emma Elizabeth Thompson Brust of Frederick, Md., and the late William Francis Jones.

She was a 1966 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

She was a homemaker.

She was a Brethren.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline M. Lescalleet of Myersville; a sister, Sue Lescalleet of Rohrersville; two brothers, Dale E. Jones of Knoxville, Md., and William L. Jones of Sharpsburg; her friend, Carroll W. Lescalleet, with whom she lived; and nephews.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro. The Rev. Daniel M. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Brownsville Heights Cemetery in Brownsville.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 1 p.m.




Mary K. Ehrhart

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary Katherine "Kay" Morter Ehrhart, 86, of Shook Home and formerly of 36 S. Allison St., Greencastle, Pa., died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at the nursing home.

Born Sept. 25, 1914, in Greencastle, she was the daughter of the late Moses G. and Catherine Carbaugh Morter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Owen "Cris" Ehrhart, in 1996. They were married June 30, 1939.

She was a 1932 graduate of Greencastle High School.

She worked at Corning Glass in Greencastle on the assembly line, retiring in 1976. In the 1930s, she had been employed by The Stanley Co. in Chambersburg as a machine operator.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Greencastle.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra L. McCulloh of Greencastle; a son, Cris Ronald Ehrhart of Greencastle; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Jennie Carbaugh Morter; a sister, Pauline Morter Gift; and two brothers, Raymond Morter and Ross Morter.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. in Greencastle. Pastor Stacy A. Crawford will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mercersburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.




Mildred L. Stitely

ROCKDALE, Md. - Mildred Louise Swisher Stitely, 87, of Rockdale, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at her home.

Born Jan. 26, 1914, in State Line, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Franklin Swisher and Florence Elisabeth Gruber Swisher.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, W. Francis Stitely Sr.; four sons, Richard L. Stitely of Pinehurst, N.C., Ronald E. Stitely of Catonsville, Md., William F. Stitely Jr. of Glen Burnie, Md., and Thomas A. Stitely of Hanover, Pa.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road in Winfield, Md. The Rev. Harry Strite will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville, Md.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

George E. Robinson

George E. Robinson, 68, of 16509 National Pike, Hagerstown, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001.

Born May 2, 1932, in Yorksprings, Pa., he was the son of the late Richard C. Robinson and Mamie Lochman Trimmer.

He was the former owner of Heyworth Reality of Hagerstown and owned and operated Joy's Package Liquor.

He was a Brethren.

He was a member of Greater Hagerstown Board of Realtors. He had been voted Realtor of the Year in the Hagerstown area.
